SquareBrowser has no servers, no analytics, no data collection of any kind. Zero bytes of your data ever leave your device. We physically cannot share or sell what we never receive.
SquareBrowser is built on a simple principle: your browsing is your business, not ours. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information โ which is to say, we don't handle it at all, because it never reaches us.
By using SquareBrowser, you agree to this local-first approach to your data.
We collect nothing. SquareBrowser does not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal information on external servers. There are no external servers.
The following data is stored exclusively on your device using Android's private local storage, accessible only through the app:
None of this data is transmitted anywhere. It cannot be accessed by other apps. It exists only on your device, for your personal use.
SquareBrowser intentionally does not provide a "clear history" function. This is a core feature, not an oversight. The permanent, local history exists to support personal accountability โ to help you see, honestly, where your time online is going.
The history record is only visible to you, only within the app, and only on your device. It is never shared with us, with advertisers, with your employer, or with anyone else. Permanence here means it persists for your own benefit โ not for anyone else's access.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties. We have no advertising partners. We have no analytics providers. We have no data brokers. We have no business relationships that involve your information because your information never comes to us.
SquareBrowser contains no analytics SDKs (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Crashlytics). The app makes no background network requests on your behalf for tracking purposes. All network activity in the app is the browsing activity you initiate.
You don't have to take our word for it. SquareBrowser is open source. The complete source code is available on GitHub for anyone to inspect, audit, and verify these claims.
SquareBrowser does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, this is straightforwardly satisfied.
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the "last updated" date above. We will not retroactively apply changes to data we don't have.
